I first explore the terms “Ḥadīth” and “Sunna” as defined by Muslim scholars and the relationship between them. I then examine the usage of these two terms in the Qur’an, looking at their specific contexts and the meanings they convey.

America’s self-image as a chosen, exceptional, redeemer nation is modelled on the chosenness of the Israelites. More recently, American “chosenness” was recast as “exceptionalism”. Both religious and secular terms are expressions of "American supremacy."

Islam has guided countless people to monotheism, proving to be the most successful monotheistic message history has ever known.

Perversely, some Islamic sects and their scholars have exerted themselves in accusing vast multitudes of these very monotheists of polytheism.
